HRD Program in Saudi Arabia

Texas A&M University and Saudi Arabia-ASHRM have collaborated and set in place an approved agreement which includes a Professional Certificate Program in Human Resource Development and an option to continue and apply to the Master of Science Human Resource Development Online Degree Program. The first certificate cohort started Fall 2007, and they are now in the final stage of completing. A two credit hour professional internship is required for the Certificate Program, and a four credit hour internship is required for the Master of Science.

TAMU Admission Requirements

To apply for full admission into the department, the Office of Graduate Admissions and Records at Texas A&M University requires the following items:

  • TAMU Application - Complete the online Texas Common Graduate Application for non-degree seeking students accompanied by a $75 application fee for international applicants (either a check from an international bank or an approved international credit card number in the applicant's name).
  • Official Transcripts and Degree Statements - Evidence of a bachelor's degree in any field, official transcripts and final degree statements from all post-secondary academic institutions. Transcripts and degree statements from non-English language institutions must be translated into English. Therefore, official transcripts and degree statements must be sent in native language as well as English.

In addition to the TAMU admission requirements, the Department requires applicants to submit the following items. These items may be sent electronically for your convenience or may be mailed or faxed to the Office of Academic Advising address listed below.

  • Departmental Checklist and Acknowledgement
  • Statement of Career Objectives--must indicate why you wish to pursue the degree, what the degree can accomplish for your career goals and specific area interests (attach with online Departmental Checklist and Acknowledgement or email to jnelson@tamu.edu.
  • Resume--attach when submitting the online Departmental Checklist and Acknowledgement or email to jnelson@tamu.edu.

Once the certificate courses have been completed and the courses are posted on the students' transcript and a grade recorded, the student must submit the Human Resource Development Professional Certificate Request Form to the Office of Academic Advising in order to receive your certificate.


Master of Science in Human Resource Development
