Bonner Co-Edits Journal on African-American Millennial College Students11/13/07
Fred Arthur Bonner, II, associate professor of higher education administration, has guest co-edited a special themed edition of the National Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NASAP) Journal focusing on African-American millennial college students with Texas A&M former student and current Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Assistant Professor Robin L. Hughes.
According to Bonner and Hughes, recent higher education literature highlighting this generational cohort has lacked a specific emphasis on critical issues such as culture, ethnicity and race-leaving a number of questions unanswered, such as the role pop culture plays in the identity of this population.
"We are excited that this is the first published journal on this particular topic," Bonner said.
The Fall 2007 issue can be found at http://www.nasap.net/.
