The event is intended for Texas A&M HRD and adult education former students to provide learning opportunities through intellectual and spiritual growth and renewal in a reunion setting.

While some perceive the fields of HRD and adult education to be disparate entities, others feel the two fields are interconnected and have much to learn from one another. The purpose of Chautauqua Roundup 2009 will be to explore questions that address the relationship between HRD and adult education:

• Where do the two fields intersect?
• What can they learn from each other?
• How can the scholarship of adult education inform and facilitate the advancement of practice in the field of HRD?
• How can the scholarship of HRD inform and further the practice of adult education?
• What are the main challenges and demands facing the relationship between HRD and adult education?

Distinguished guest speakers include Kenneth Bartlett of the University of Minnesota and Laura Bierema of the University of Georgia.

Texas A&M University will provide breakfast, lunch and an evening reception to honor our keynote speakers. We ask for your attendance and participation to make Chautauqua Roundup 2009 unforgettable!
