Clark Awarded Faculty Development Leave For Spring 20084/26/07 By Lauren Rouse Carolyn Clark, associate professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development, has been awarded faculty development leave for the 2008 spring semester by the Texas A&M University Board of Regents. Clark will use the time to conduct research and work on a book on the narrative learning process. "The great benefit of a leave like this is time to focus on my research without the distractions of teaching and other responsibilities," Clark said. "It is a huge gift to us as faculty, and I'm very grateful for this opportunity." Clark's co-authored book introduces the fundamental concepts of narrative learning to the field of adult education. She hopes to begin developing a theory of narrative learning that will allow her to begin contributing to new ways of conceptualizing and theorizing the process of adult learning. |
