Jim Scheurich, professor of public school administration in the Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development, is a nominee for the office of Member-at-Large of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Council.

The council is the legislative and policy-making body of AERA, with the power to review and direct the general affairs of the association.

A 20-year member of AERA, Scheurich has been highly involved in the organization, from participating in nationwide conferences to serving as a chair on a variety of committees.
