Meet the Staff

What our Students and Graduates Say About the Staff

There are three staff members in our department who are especially important to students in our program. We have two wonderful Academic Advisors, Clarice Fulton and Joyce Nelson. Clarice has the primary responsibility for EHRD student and Joyce for EDAD students, but they both are available to help everyone. As Academic Advisors they work with students from admissions to graduation, guiding them through the maze of university regulations and requirements, and making sure that everything official gets done and done correctly. They are invaluable! Bill Ashworth is one of our Administrative Assistants who has special expertise in the requirements of the Institutional Review Board (IRB). All doctoral students must obtain approval from the IRB before beginning their dissertation research and Bill is there to guide them through this process, and he does it with great diligence and style. No other department in the university has a staff person who performs this role, so we are really fortunate to have Bill as our "Mr. IRB"! All three of these staff members are extraordinary in their capabilities and in their graciousness-we're very lucky to have them!
