Training Registration

The registration fee of $2500.00 includes 40 hours of competency-based training, a complete set of course materials, morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch and the certificate. Participants are encouraged to register early as enrollment is limited to 30 participants. 

Registration consists of two parts: 1) a registration profile; and 2) the registration payment confirmation. All participants must submit a registration profile, and both parts must be completed for participation in the program. A $25.00 late fee will be assessed if any fees are received after deadline.

Participants will have two options for submission of registration fees. These options are listed below. Space is guaranteed only with receipt of the registration profile AND the registration payment confirmation. If employed by a Texas state agency, a funds transfer can be made. Refunds will only be given upon registration cancellation a week prior to first meeting. Cancellations must be sent by email to l-dooley@tamu.edu.


Early Bird Registration: $2000

For the $500 discount, submit registration AND payment of $2000 by October 7, 2008.

Regular Registration: $2500

For payments submitted after October 7, 2008, participants must pay $2500 or may have the option to pay in two installments. The first installment of $1500 must be received at two weeks prior to start of the program (October 7), and the second installment of $1000 must be received at least one week prior to start of program (October 14).

When paying by credit card and e-check:

         1) Go to http://www.texasonline.state.tx.us/NASApp/tamu/ODEManager
         2) Click on "College of Education and Human Development" section
         3) Click on "Training & Development Program"
         4) Click the "Register" button
         5) Fill out the contact information
         6) Select the credit card or e-check method, and how you wish to pay

For TAMU employees when paying by IDT or business paying by check:

If  you are a TAMU employee and wish to pay by Interdepartmental Transfer (IDT) or an individual which prefers to make payment by business or personal check, please e-mail Rebecca Kubena (rkubena@tamu.edu) the following contact and account information:

Accommodations and Travel:

For your convenience, the Department has reserved rooms at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel for the participants and the speakers. The training program will be held at this same location. The reservations are inclusive beginning Wednesday evening, October 19 - Monday evening, October 24 with check out on Monday, October 24 by noon. The rate is $85 per night plus tax. Please call 979-695-8111 and ask for the EDUG group code to make your reservation. 

For participants who wish to travel by air, Easterwood Airport in College Station provides easy access with the availability of two major carriers (Continental and American). College Station is within a two-hour drive of Houston and Austin, and approximately three hours from Dallas and San Antonio.

Light refreshments and lunches are included in the cost of registration. Participants will be responsible for their own airfare and lodging.
